Ernesto Treccani


Ernesto Treccani was born in Milan in 1920. He began to display with the CORRENTE group, from which he drew certain expressionistic figurative motifs. In the post-war period he moved into the sphere of realism, with works of political and social commitment expressed in a spare and essential language. He also wrote literary texts, both poetry and prose. His talks and his reflections on art are collected in the volume Arte per Amore Scritti e pagine di diario (Art for love.Writings and diary pages)1978.
